The Spokane Brewers Festival is proud to announce that proceeds from this year’s festival will go towards supporting the mission of the Wishing Star Foundation!

Established in 1983, Wishing Star is the oldest wish granting organization in Washington. Founded by a local teacher who was inspired by the passing of one her first grade students to cancer, Wishing Star grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses between the ages of 3 and 21, living in Spokane, the Tri-Cities and local outlying areas. On average, Wishing Star grants close to 40 wishes a year and will celebrate their 35th anniversary this October.

“The Wishing Star Foundation is delighted to team up with the Spokane Arena for the 3rd Annual Spokane Brewers Festival,” said Dan Curley, Executive Director of Wishing Star. “The opportunity to raise money and awareness to grant more wishes for local children battling life-threatening illnesses, while partnering with the Spokane Arena for such a fun, up and coming community event, is something our organization is truly proud to participate in.”
