How do I clean a beer tap at home?
The general method is pretty straightforward.
- Run a cleaning solution through the draft line under pressure until the flow runs clear.
- Wait while the solution soaks in the lines.
- Run clean water through the draft line under pressure to flush out the cleaner.
- Tap the next keg.
How often should beer taps be cleaned?
At a minimum you should clean your tap lines once every 4-6 weeks. Our recommendation is to clean and sanitize your beer or wine tap lines between each keg you serve on your draft system to make life easier.
